Enigma Merchandise, a sports company based in Australia have signed a lucrative agreement with the Jamaica Rugby League Association to become the official kit and compression-wear supplier for the national team, the Reggae Warriors, for the next 4 years.
The agreement will cover the length of the next World Cup cycle and new playing jerseys and off field apparel will be designed and sold over the coming months.
JRLA Chairman Ventley Brown sees the agreement as another major achievement for the Association.
“This is a deal one for us, our brand will be strengthened around the world with Enigma making our replicas available in all major markets,” he said. “Our desire is to play as many internationals over the next few years and further establish the Reggae Warriors as one of Jamaica’s major sporting team.”
Managing Director of Enigma Merchandise Dane Campbell commented, “It is great to be able to partner with the Jamaica Rugby League Association and I am excited by the prospect. I have had a personal involvement with the sport in Jamaica for 10 years and this is a great way of being able to continue to support the growing popularity of rugby league in the Caribbean. We have some exciting design concepts in the pipeline and will be launching a full range of on-field and off-field products to sell to the general public.”
The JRLA becomes the second rugby league nation in the region to enter into partnership after Trinidad and Tobago linked with Enigma earlier this year.
Romeo Monteith, JRLA Director of Rugby added, “The Reggae Warriors and the JRLA will benefit from this partnership and we applaud the effort by Dane and his company to further assist rugby league in our country by supplying fantastic merchandise to our players and fans. We encourage everyone to grab their replicas as a percentage of every shirt sale will go back into developing the sport in Jamaica.”
New designs and retail range will be unveiled in early 2014, with products to be available for purchase via Enigma online store at www.enigmamerchandise.com .
