2017 World Cup Snapshot - The 2017 Rugby League World Cup will be the 15th instalment of the oldest Rugby World Cup tournament on the planet. The games will be hosted by Australia and New Zealand with PNG hosting three games. Fourteen teams will participate.

Guile and grit conquered strength and size, as Scotland dumped Tonga to the bottom of Pool C with a drama-charged 26-24 defeat at icy Workington.

It was a match that rested on the final play of the game, as Tonga had their fourth try of the second half disallowed via video review.

James Maloney and Ben Hunt will make their first appearances of the 2017 Rugby League World Cup on Saturday night against Lebanon at Allianz Stadium.

School children from Neath got their hands on the Rugby League World Cup recently when the famous old trophy made a whistle-stop tour around Wales.

The trophy was only in the area for a few hours, so two schools, Neath Primary and Tonnau Primary, were selected at random to have the 59-year old piece of silverware at their establishments.

South Sydney threequarter Campbell Graham is set to make his debut for Scotland in the final European qualifiers for the 2021 Rugby League World Cup this autumn after being named in their extended train-on squad. The Bravehearts face Serbia and Spain in Pool B, with the top two going through to the main competition in England.
